FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE

The $70 million Fremont Street Experience draws visitors into a 175,700-square-foot light and sound experience that is landscaped and traffic free. The 90-foot-high canopy covering four acres of the casino-lined Downtown street evolves into a sky high stage for dancing and moving images created by 2.1 million lights capable of producing 65,536 color combinations. The Fremont Street Experience, unlike anything else in the world, provides a venue for outdoor festivals, street performers and holiday celebrations. A 1,500-space parking plaza provides additional parking in the downtown area.

"Marriage Capital of the World". Although couples choose Las Vegas as their wedding site year round, Valentine's Day is the most popular wedding day in Las Vegas. New Year's Eve runs a close second.

Nearly a 100,000 marriage licenses are issued annually to couples who seek to create magic in their nuptials by getting married in Las Vegas. Getting Married in Las Vegas-style can be mild to wild - exchanging vows at a chapel's drive-up window, at the top of Mt. Charleston, soaring high above the desert in a hot air balloon or a formal black tie affair at a choice of traditional sites provided by the more than 35 wedding chapels throughout the city, including many on the premises of the major resort hotels.

The only requirement to get married in Nevada is a marriage license, which can be purchased at the Clark County Marriage License Bureau located in the Clark County Courthouse, 200 S Third St for $35 cash (subject to change) - exact change only. There is no waiting period or blood tests required. proof of age is required, however.

A civil ceremony can be performed in the courthouse for an additional fee. Marriage License Bureau hours are 8 am to midnight, Monday through Thursday and on weekends around the clock (8:00 am Friday through midnight on Sunday) On legal holidays, the Bureau is open 24 hours.

Wedding chapels will arrange and perform weddings to fit any budget or theme. Or, if preferred, couples can enlist the aid of a wedding consultant to create their own unique affair.
